Всемирная торговая организация (ВТО) сочла, что пошлины объемом $7,2 млрд, введенные властями США на импорт стальной продукции и солнечных панелей из Китая и Индии, могут использоваться в качестве инструмента давления, пишет газета Financial Times. Решение ВТО затрагивает множество пошлин, принятых в США между 2007 и 2012 годами.

ВТО: мировая торговля вырастет на 4,7%

Объем мировой торговли в этом году увеличится, однако докризисных темпов роста (на 5% в год) придется подождать до 2015. Об этом говорится в докладе Всемирной торговой организации (ВТО). Эксперты ВТО улучшили свои оценки по сравнению с сентябрем, теперь они считают, что в 2014 году торговля вырастет не на 4,5%, а на 4,7% (то есть в два с половиной раза больше, чем показал минувший год – 2,1%). В 2015 показатель увеличится на 5,3%.

Россия пожаловалась в ВТО на европейские пошлины

Россия 23 декабря подала иск к Евросоюзу по линии Всемирной торговой организации, потребовав отменить антидемпинговые пошлины ЕС. Об этом, как сообщает РИА Новости, заявил замглавы Минэкономразвития Алексей Лихачев. По его словам, иск касается энергетических корректировок при проведении антидемпинговых расследований в отношении металлургических и химических предприятий из РФ. Демпинг возникает, когда товар на зарубежном рынке продается дешевле, чем на внутреннем. В таком случае страна-импортер терпит убытки, так как товары ее собственных производителей становятся неконкурентоспособными, и может ввести санкции.

Министерская конференция ВТО пройдет 3-6 декабря на Бали. По мнению многих экспертов, а также самих чиновников ВТО, эта конференция должна стать переломным этапом в жизни и деятельности организации. Страны-участницы Всемирной торговой организации на девятой министерской конференции имеют шансы найти соглашения по Балийскому пакету договоренностей, несмотря на множество «подводных камней», но говорить о завершении всего Доха-раунда на встрече в Индонезии преждевременно, полагают эксперты, опрошенные «Праймом», и участники делегаций.
